Everyone Deserves an Education
We care about college kids. Kids of every race, every ethnicity, and every immigration status. Under U.S. law, all K-12 students must be offered a free public education regardless of immigration status. But college is not free, and certain immigrants cannot get grants or loans for college. We believe every U.S. resident deserves an opportunity for a college education. That's where Immigrant College Fund comes in. We gather and distribute funds for college students who cannot obtain government-backed grants and loans. We want these kids to realize their dreams and become productive citizens.
Urgent Need - Call to Action
11/27/2009 - Two Freshmen Being Forced to Leave College in Tennessee
Two (unrelated) immigrants (K. Nandoo and N. Gomez) stepped out in faith this Fall to enroll in their favorite college, a private university in Tennessee. Unlike most students, they cannot get grants or loans because they don't have a social security number.
One is the daughter of a single mother (a janitor) and the other is the daugther of a struggling tradesman. These parents are hardworking taxpayers. The college has good intentions but cannot give financial aid because of the social security / immigration-status issue. Neither of these students can get their December exam passes because their bill is not paid. So they can't finish this semester, nor enroll for next semester. Their dreams of a college education are quickly fading. Don't let it happen. Donate securely through our online donation page. You can change these students' lives forever.
